Privacy policy
How Norvic handles personal information.
Norvic Security Group Ltd (company number 16398166) is the business responsible for the enquiry information described in this notice.
This notice explains how information is used on the Norvic Security Group website. For privacy enquiries, contact f.oakmur@norvicsecurity.co.uk or write to Norvic Security Group, The Nest, Holt Road, Horsford, Norwich, NR10 3AQ.
Website enquiries
When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, email address, optional telephone number and location, selected service or course, and message. Enquiries are submitted to Webflow Forms, which stores the submission for Norvic to review and respond. Enquiry details are not displayed on this website. Please leave sensitive operational information, identification documents and medical details for a direct conversation.
We use your enquiry information to respond to a request and discuss any service or training arrangements you ask about. Depending on the request, this supports steps towards a contract or our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list.
Location suggestions
Location suggestions are optional and start only when you select “Use location suggestions”. Postcode searches are sent to Postcodes.io; searches for towns, streets and venues are sent to Photon, operated by komoot using OpenStreetMap data. The provider receives the location search text and your IP address to return suggestions. Your name, email and enquiry message are not included in these lookup requests.
You can leave suggestions off and enter your location manually. Turning them off stops further lookup requests. Suggestions and recent searches are cached only in memory while the page is open. Check and complete the location before submitting; postcode suggestions do not list every individual property. The final location is included in the enquiry you submit to Norvic.
Browser storage and website services
Your security brief and course selections use session storage in your current browser tab to carry your selections between pages. These selections are sent to Norvic only when you submit an enquiry. Website search uses the public catalogue and does not save your search terms in Norvic’s enquiry records.
Webflow hosts this preview and provides enquiry submission storage. Webflow and its service providers may process technical request information to operate and protect the website and forms, including anti-spam checks. This preview is publicly accessible and does not use the original website’s account access system. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the technical information needed to serve those requests.
Keeping information and your choices
Contact us to ask about the information held about your enquiry, how long it is retained, or to request access, correction or deletion. Some records may need to be retained for applicable contractual or legal requirements. Depending on the circumstances, data protection rights can also include restriction, objection and portability. You can raise a concern with Norvic using the contact details above, or with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Links to other websites
Links to mapping, qualification information and other organisations take you to services with their own privacy notices. Opening an email link uses your chosen email application. Please review the relevant provider’s information when using those services.
Website notice updated: 12 October 2026.
Course-date requests
If you ask to hear about course dates, we collect your name, email address, chosen course and agreement to receive those updates through the website’s Webflow form. Our team uses these details to respond about the course you selected. This request does not book a place or sign you up to a general newsletter. You can withdraw your request by emailing f.oakmur@norvicsecurity.co.uk.
Practical help with privacy enquiries
Tell us which information you mean
If you contact us about your information, describe the enquiry or interaction you are referring to. An approximate date, the email address you used and the subject of the enquiry can help identify the relevant records. You do not need to know the name of a particular system or use legal terminology to ask for your personal information. Explain what you would like to understand or what you believe needs correcting.
For example, you might want to ask about information supplied through the contact form, a training enquiry or a request for course-date updates. If your request concerns a particular message, a brief description can provide context without sending the entire correspondence again. Please avoid including information about other people unless it is necessary to explain the request.
Share only what is needed
Please do not send passwords, alarm codes, payment card details or copies of identity documents with an initial privacy enquiry. Start with a description of your question and a way to contact you. If you are unsure whether a document is needed, ask before sending it. The same care is useful when making an ordinary service enquiry: a general explanation can begin the conversation without disclosing detailed operational arrangements.
The choices described above apply separately. Entering a location manually avoids the optional suggestion requests, while asking to withdraw course-date updates concerns that particular request. If you are unsure which choice relates to your situation, explain what you used on the website and what you want to change. For independent guidance about access to personal information and other data protection rights, the Information Commissioner’s Office provides information for the public.
