Tell us whether you are taking on a workplace first aider role, returning to learning or exploring a first response pathway. The reason for attending helps distinguish between an initial course, a refresher and progression to further study. If an employer has specified a particular requirement, include the wording in your enquiry so it can be discussed accurately.
For a team, explain the workplace and the roles of the intended learners. Numbers and preferred dates are helpful, but the learning objective is what gives the enquiry direction. The relevant course page is a useful next step once that purpose is clear.
If you have trained before, note the full course title, awarding organisation and certificate dates. These details help with discussions about a refresher, requalification or progression. Do not assume that courses with similar names have the same entry requirements or lead to the same outcome.
The annual refresher and First Aid at Work requalification routes serve different purposes. If you are unsure which you need, raise the question before choosing a date. For FREC enquiries, ask about the specific eligibility and delivery arrangements for the proposed pathway, including any prior learning or evidence that may be requested.
Ask about the course format, practical activities, assessment and preparation before booking. Understanding the day helps learners arrive ready to take part and gives organisers a clearer basis for planning attendance. Raise accessibility or learning-support questions early so the proposed arrangements can be discussed.
For group training, explain whether you have a preferred venue and what space is available. Confirm the facilities and equipment needed for the proposed programme. Questions about an individual's circumstances are best discussed directly with the team, with only the relevant information shared.
Establish the exact course or qualification, duration, assessment arrangements and total fee. Ask what certificate successful completion would lead to and how it relates to the role or further learning you have in mind. A course title should not be treated as confirmation of eligibility for a job or a separate professional role.
Norvic also welcomes enquiries about paediatric first aid, CPR, AED and first aid refreshers, and first responder learning. These topics provide a route into a discussion; the particular course and available delivery arrangements will be confirmed with you.
