First Response Emergency Care — Level 3
Explore the Level 3 first response emergency care pathway.
An initial training enquiry and a refresher enquiry begin from different positions. Tell us whether you are exploring close protection for the first time, returning after time away or developing within an existing role. Include relevant qualifications and experience so the discussion can focus on the route appropriate to your circumstances.
If an employer or another organisation has requested a particular qualification, provide its exact title. Ask how the proposed course relates to that requirement and what evidence is needed to confirm eligibility. A similar course name is not enough to establish that a booking will serve the purpose you have in mind.
The course enquiry can cover your interest in protective planning, operational preparation, communication and teamwork. Think about which aspects you want to understand better and the setting in which you hope to work. This makes the conversation more useful than approaching the course as a single step with an assumed outcome.
Previous experience can be relevant without making every part of the training familiar. Describe what you have done and what would be new to you. Ask which topics and practical scenarios form part of the confirmed syllabus, and avoid assuming that a particular specialism is included unless it has been expressly agreed.
Before arranging leave, ask for the course timetable, location, attendance expectations and assessment arrangements. Confirm any preparation and evidence required, including how existing first aid qualifications are considered. If language, access or practical participation needs raise questions, discuss them before committing so you understand the proposed arrangements.
Review what is included in the fee and the exclusions stated on this page. Consider travel and accommodation when planning your overall budget, and ask about any other costs you need to allow for. Do not book around an assumed date or delivery format; use the details confirmed for your particular course.
Training, any separate licensing process and an employer's selection arrangements should be understood as distinct steps. If your aim is a particular role, ask that organisation which qualifications and experience it expects. Course completion should not be taken as a promise of employment or a particular assignment.
For refresher enquiries, explain what has changed since your previous training and why you are seeking an update now. For group enquiries, describe the learners' backgrounds rather than assuming they all need identical support. A clear outline helps us discuss the available route and identify the details that must be confirmed before a booking is made.
Start with a brief. Continue with a conversation.
